ABOUT LOST WAX BRONZE SCULPTURES

 The Lost Wax Process, renowned as cire-perdue, is an ancient technique of metal casting where a wax figure is melted and replaced with molten metal, usually bronze, due to its strength and higher tensile strength. The process commences with an artist crafting a wax statue, covering it with a clay mould, and heating it till the wax is gone and the clay is hardened. Hot metal is then poured in the mould, making the sculpture solid; the mould is then broken for each piece, making each sculpture unique. Artwork is further polished by the artist, taking weeks to months. These sculptures, crafted with such craftsmanship, are exquisite, hard to find, and desired.
