Sage Patanjali is popularly known as the ‘Father of Modern Yoga’, although he didn’t invent yoga, it was already there, he just assimilated its various forms into a well defined system now known as Yoga Sutras.According to mythology ,Maharishi Patanjali was the avatar of Adi Shesha – the Infinite Cosmic Serpent upon whom Lord Vishnu rests.
