Bhutas are spiritual beings with the discretion to either guard or harm mortals, existing in an array of forms. Their worshippers express reverence to them through observance of rituals, out of both fear and respect. The most impressive aspect of this version is the expressiveness of the god, with his eyebrows arched, eyes wide open, and teeth bared. His naga or snake ornaments accentuate his countenance.
